Our Mission
Artists Unchained is an artist led initiative to empower artists to distribute art direct to the public via magnet link, P2P and creative commons licences. This is to ensure that the artist retains full copyright in their work, and to always give an alternative to signing restrictive contracts. Advocating that the public should be able to enjoy the artwork before paying, and to give the public the option to support artists via direct patronage.

An Experiment: This .tv site is an experiment, possibly with an eye to hosting independent artist's music in the future who use the principles of artists unchained. Until then it's filled with stuff POV grabbed from Youtube.

This goes over the basics of creative commons licence and the ideas behind the 'copyleft' movement. It is one of the elements of digital busking that we wish to see advanced into the public conciousness. It is a corner stone of the artists unchained concept, and a way to enforce the 'copyright' if the artist (to stop businesses exploiting it be claiming it's in the public domain) while allowing it to be shared by fans, and passed about via P2P. This is a legal use of P2P, but the art has to be released under the a create commons licence!

The music currently posted on this site is NOT released under a creative commons licence (as far as we know) and were taken from Youtube and are assumed to be promos. Please report any copyright violations...
